Submission On Senzo Meyiwa’s Murder Trial
Adv Tshepo Timothy Thobane, is the current attorney who represents four of the five men who has been accused of the 2014 murder. He also submitted and put it to Meyiwa’s friend, who also doubles as the State witness Tumelo Madlala, noting that Meyiwa was not only living with the two biological sisters, but also having sexual relationship with both of them.
In his own words in court, he said; “A witness will testify that Kelly had brought Zandi to live with them, to guard Senzo while she was doing her music career activities. I put it to you that the same witness will come and testify that Senzo was complaining about the way Kelly was doing things, and having someone to guard him.”
Madlala claims not to be aware of this.
Thobane rather went ahead to state: “That witness will testify that at the end, Senzo ended up having a sexual relationship with Zandi as well. Kelly was being away for a long time.”
Madlala whom we have his full details further replied: “I cannot agree and I cannot disagree with that because I do know that Senzo loved women.”
Then Thobane asked Madlala if he is aware that Meyiwa was married which came with a positive reply from Senzo’s friend.
Then, the lawyer asked a rather controversial question which the court judge presided by Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela did not sustain, he asked: “According to all that which I have put to you, does it make him a good person?”
Let us remember that Meyiwa was shot and killed at Kelly’s home in Vosloorus back in October 26, 2014.
On the fateful night, people who were present were, Senzo Meyiwa, Kelly and her sister Zandile, their mother Ntombi Khumalo aka MaKhumalo, Longwe Twala, Meyiwa’s friends Mthokozisi Thwala and Tumelo Madlala, then was also Kelly’s 4-year-old son, Christian, and Thingo her daughter she had with with Meyiwa and finally there domestic worker.
Longwe Twala was also accused of being the one to come to Khumalo’s home with the gun which was used in killing Senzo.
Five men, however have been charged for attempted murder, murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of an unlicensed fire arm and ammunition, these men are; Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Mncube, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Sifokuhle Ntuli. These men are aid to already have history of crime.
Zandi Khumalo had a sexual relationship with Senzo Meyiwa because Kelly Khumalo was always away on business. Kelly was also aware and she allowed it.
