On the day of Senzo’s shooting, a few people were present at the home of the mother of his girlfriend (an actress and singer) Kelly Khumalo, house in Vosloorus. This happened on 26 October 2014.
Meyiwa was fatally shot and murdered in a said robbery gone wrong . He was said to be rushed a hospital in Johannesburg, but unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.

Kelly Khumalo’s 4-year-old son named Christian and then Thingo, her daughter with Meyiwa.

First story has been that while these mentioned people were in the house, two gunmen broke in and started to rub. In the process, Senzo was trying to protect Kelly while one of the men shot him.
Another story has it that Senzo was in sexual relationship with his girlfriend’s sister, Zandi Khumalo who was then dating Longwe. Then on the said night, Lengwo came in to the house with a gun. While in a physical confrontation with Senzo for his relationship with Senzo, Kelly got her hands on Longwe’s gun and mistakenly shot her boyfriend, Senzo.
After the shot, Mthokozisi Twala was said to had run outside and hid under a neighbor’s yard.

Since the murder trial, no one has been charged for the soccer star’s death. What is even confusing what that there was seven people who were present on the date of the murder, but none agreed to speak or clearly disclose who really took the fatal shot.
